Only 1.5 of the 30 km are open to the public, with a constant internal temperature of 14°C. Managed by the Frasassi Consortium since 1972, created by the Province of Ancona and the Municipality of Genga to protect and promote this natural site. Visitors can choose different routes, varying in duration and difficulty.

The town of Serra San Quirico has a well-preserved medieval historic center; a real curiosity are the Copertelle, covered passages running along the town walls, the main defense tower known as “Il Cassero”, the Baroque church of Santa Lucia with a bulb-shaped bell tower, which houses paintings by Pasqualino de Rossi depicting the Stories of Santa Lucia, his masterpiece in Marche, created in the late 17th century. The church also features Baroque plastic decorations by Leonardo Scaglia, and hosts works by Cavalier d’Arpino and other paintings by Pasqualino de Rossi. The interior, formerly a Silvestrine abbey, is a very interesting and intact example of Baroque in Marche, preserving the original organ by Giuseppe Testa (1676), inlaid altar decorations, pews with monograms, and a terracotta floor.

A true open-air art gallery, completely free, offering a unique and picturesque atmosphere. Cacciano is a small hamlet of Fabriano, 20 km from our Hotel, at the entrance of the scenic Campodonico valley. A small village perched at 528 m above sea level where in recent years murals depicting rural life and its inhabitants have been created. The idea was launched in 2009 by the local Fenalc association to beautify the village and attract visitors.

Located on the outskirts of Sassoferrato, it consists of two areas (Santa Lucia and Civita), connected by a pedestrian walkway. The Rocca di Albornoz, a massive 14th-century fortress, is the symbol of the city. Built in 1365 by order of Cardinal Egidio Albornoz with funds from confiscated property, it was a defensive stronghold of great importance. Restored over the centuries, today impressive remains are still visible.
